Do you take reservations?

Yes- we recommend them! Reservations ensure your time slot and that your table will be ready for you upon your arrival. You can download the "Tock" reservation app on your smart phone or follow the link on our website to make your reservation.

How do I make reservations with you?

We use a reservation app called Tock. If you search "Tock" in your phone's App Store, it will come up as 'Tock- Restaurant Reservations' (Blue background with a white broken circle icon)!

You can also follow the "Reservations" button on our website.

Do you accept parties of 6+ people?

You can reserve a table for up to 6 people online through Tock. Due to limited space for larger groups, we are rarely able to accept parties of 7 or more.

Do you have a dress code?

We do not have a required dress code. Come as you are comfortable! We would appreciate, however, if you wore shoes and covered all necessary body parts.

Can I bring in my own bottle of wine or dessert?

If you would like to bring in a bottle of wine to enjoy during your supper with us, you will be charged a $30 per bottle corkage fee. We recommend looking over our curated wine list before your reservation (located under Menu tab).

If you would like to bring a cake or other type of dessert for a celebration, you will be charged a $4.00 per person dessert fee. Please consider that our Pastry Chef takes great care in making every dessert on the menu and we happily provide a celebration plate and a candle with your dessert.

Do you have gift cards available?

Yes, we have physical gift cards available to purchase at the restaurant. Come on by and we will be happy to assist you.

If my reservation is at 9pm and you close at 9pm will I still get to eat?

Our last available seating is at 9pm. You will receive our full dining experience with your reservation.

Are you open for lunch?

No, we are only open for dinner.

What if your parking lot is full?

We have additional parking available on our side of Denny Mill Road. Denny Mill Road is the next turn off of West Oakland Avenue just past our parking lot.

Do you have a kid's menu?

Yes! We have a separate kid's menu with kid approved options for our guests who are 12 years and younger.

What is the best place to stay up-to-date with your daily operations?

We post regularly to our instagram account @juniperjc (see the instagram icon at the bottom left of this page). You can also find updates on this website!

Why “Juniper”?

Juniper is Mattie and Celia’s daughter’s name.

What are the birds on the sign about?

Those are Guinea Fowl, or “Guinea Hens” as Sam calls them. Celia grew up in the Knob Creek area and when she was young, there was always a flock of these hens standing in the middle of W. Oakland Avenue as you drove around the curve where Juniper is now located. We would always have to slow down to let them scatter. Sam would then make a joke about Benny Hinn, the Preacher. You can also find “Ginny” the Guinea on our kid’s menu!

Fun fact: a group of guinea fowl is called a confusion

What’s that big old building beside you?

That is The Bashor-Denny Mill that was built sometime before 1832. It is a great piece of the Historic Knob Creek District. If you'd like to find out more, please visit our up-hill neighbors at The Knob Creek Historical Museum.
